Turn your normal bike into a future bike

Copenhagen wheel is the wheel developed by MIT that can turn any bike into an electric pedal assisted bike.
he pre-orders for the wheel that will revolutionize the urban cycling are started.

The Copenhagen Wheel combines an electric motor (350 watts), a lithium battery (48-volt, four hours of charging) and an application that works via Bluetooth for mobile Apple or Android.

In practice, the wheel learn our driving behaviour and provides power according to the specific settings of the app, taking energy from micro-movements we make with the legs on the pedals to push the bike with a capacity of 3 to 10 times higher than the strength of the our  "natural" ride.

The engineers have also equipped it with sensors to measure pollution levels in the city: the data is automatically sent with a tweet.

Copenhagen Wheel is available for pre-order on the official website: superpedestrian  starting at $ 699, about 510 €.
